‘Cabernet Splash’ Blueberry

‘Chicago Hardy’ Fig

Chicago Hardy Figs are hardy to Canada Zone 6. A must for the experienced gardener; with a bit of effort, they can be grown outside like a bush! For average growers in the Kootenays, Figs can be grown in pots which can be taken inside overwinter for survival through dormancy. Nothing quite like a fresh fig from your own tree! Very productive as it is able to produce fruit on both the new and old woods. May die back in colder climates and resume growth from the base in spring. Fruit ripens to a dark mahogany-purple colour from July until frost. Self-pollinating.
*Note: We do not offer replacements for poor winter management of your fig tree. These figs are on the edge of cold hardiness for the Kootenay region. Plant at your own risk.

‘Jelly Bean®’ Blueberry
Jelly Bean® is an absolute charmer in the landscape or in patio pots with its near perfect and natural spherical shape. It is a little puffball of a blueberry, but don’t let that make you think its berries will be small too. This little wonder is prolific – producing a bumper crop of large-sized, flavorful blueberries mid-summer. Jelly Bean’s spring colour is vivid with bright (nearly lime) green. These greens give way to deeper shades of darker greens and reds. By summer, especially in cooler climates, Jelly Bean® offers breathtaking colour contrast in the garden with beautiful green foliage that has brilliant red leaf margins. ‘Razz’ Blueberry
$16.00An amazing flavour! Not available in grocery stores because it’s too delicate for mass shipping. Fat, juicy berries are a pretty periwinkle blue and are simply splendid for fresh eating. It’s one of our favourites for its distinctly raspberry-flavoured notes making it taste more like huckleberry. Razz also takes well to baking and preserves. Also an extremely attractive landscape plant, with a flaming foliage show in the fall. Disease-resistant. Ripens in July-August. Northern highbush. Developed by Frederick Coville at the USDA in 1934. Thinleaf Huckleberry

Wild Huckleberry, also known as Mountain Huckleberry or Thinleaf Huckleberry, has been cultivated, consumed, and enjoyed for thousands of years. Native to the woodland areas of western North America, it has a wide variety of habitats and thrives in many conditions. New leaves on the plant are red and turn into a vibrant shade of green as they mature. Produces purple-black fruits in the summer after yellow-pink blooms in the spring. The bushes are deciduous, and leaves turn a red-purple colour in the fall.
