The renowned, high-quality cherry. Yields uniform crops of huge, glossy, deep red almost black cherries. Fruit is juicy and sweet, perfect for snacking right off the tree. Originates from Salem, Oregon around 1875. Ripens in July. No longer meets commercial standards but are great for home growers!

‘Emperor Francis’ Cherry
Make your own maraschino cherries! This is one of the best sweet cherries you’ll find anywhere. Tree is consistently productive. Fruit is perfect for canning jellies and jams or making homemade maraschinos. Best when picked fresh and popped into your mouth like candy. Resists cracking. Introduced to the U.S. circa early 1900s. Ripens in late June. Does not pollinate with Bing.

‘Lapins’ Cherry
$75.00The Lapins Cherry is a cross between the Van and Stella Cherry. It produces some of the largest and juiciest of the sweet cherries and provides multi-seasonal interest. In early in the season, your Lapins Cherry will be smothered in brilliant white blossoms. Then, midseason, you’ll be delighted by an abundance of sweet, large, dark red to purple fruit with light red flesh. Self-fertile, and does not require a pollinator, however, cross-pollination never hurts. They are considered the number one pollinator for Bing in most areas and is a great universal pollinator for other cherry trees. The fruit is firm and so big that one cherry is a mouthful. The flavor is divine, incredibly juicy, and sweet. They are delicious right off the tree and wonderful for baking. You’ll be pleased to learn that these have been bred to resist splitting. Ripens July.

‘Manor’ Chum

‘Opata’ Chum

‘Rainier’ Cherry
$75.00This large, golden yellow cherry with a red blush has a crisp bite and delicate, super-sweet flavour. Rainiers have some of the highest sugar levels of sweet cherries, ranging from 17-23 Brix. It was developed in the Pacific Northwest by Harold Fogel, and was named for the area’s highest mountain peak. This is an early bearing variety, so plan to start enjoying your delicious harvest in mid-season.

‘Skeena’ Cherry (KR5 Semi-dwarf)
Skeena has large, dark red to black fruit, with a firm and sweet flesh. This cherry is resistant to cracking. Easier to manage with improved yields compared to Lapins. Ripens July after Bing.

‘Van’ Cherry
$30.00 – $75.00Irresistible, dark-red cherries! Van is vigorous and bears young. Fruit is medium-large and firm with a flavor similar to Bing. Short-stemmed fruit grows in a cylinder around the branch. Enjoy magnificent cherry blossoms in spring! May be susceptible to cracking due to moisture at ripening. Originates from Summerland, BC around 1942. Ripens in mid-June. High yield potential but fruit size can become small if the tree is overloaded with fruit.
