We will stand behind our high-quality plant products. Please contact email@example.com if you are not satisfied with our vegetable transplants, nursery stock, seed garlic and sweetpotato slips. We will work with you to determine any problems you may be having and conclude if a replacement, store credit or refund is appropriate. We cannot accept returns or exchanges of live plants.
Before planting, be sure to read our online planting recommendations associated for your order. These planting recommendations and guides are listed on each product page and are meant to provide adequate information for that particular plant to thrive. Following these planting methods should ensure that your plants get a good start and stays healthy and productive. Do you still need more information or have questions about a plant? Problems with your order?
While we do our best to provide only high-quality stock, we realize perfection isn’t always attained when working with live plants and human fallibility.
After receiving your order, please inspect all items and notify us within 10 days of any problems or shortages. We cannot accept claims for shortages or other problems made more than 10 days after receipt or delivery of your order.
Upon opening your mail order or transporting your plants home, your plant may have crimped, yellowed, or dropped leaves. Please note that this tends to be cosmetic and is a natural reaction to the change in the environment through transit. We love our plants and do everything we can to assure that they will arrive happy and healthy, however it is normal for some plants to experience stress through shipping and handling. Unless there is major damage, a little tender loving care can go a long way in revitalizing the plant. If you think there is a major concern, notify us immediately.
Our Plant Guarantee
We guarantee that all plants sent out are considered alive, true to type and when given proper care will grow and thrive.
If you have any concerns about the quality of your ordered plants, please notify us with a photo and short description within 10 days of purchase or arrival. Since they are living creatures and can be damaged by frost, heat, diseases and pests, we cannot be responsible for any plants once they are in your care after the initial 10-day window, with the exception of our additional bare-root guarantee. If issues arise after the 10-day window, please contact us quickly to assist you with advice.
Due to the nature of growing plants (weather, care, etc.), only certain circumstances will be reviewed for replacement or store credit. We reserve the right to deny a claim if we find evidence that the plant was neglected or damaged due to customer error. Refunds are only applicable due to supply shortages at the time of pickup or shipping. Although we sell many hardy plants, we cannot guarantee overwinter survival due to factors beyond our control and it is the customer’s responsibility to learn about and mitigate any potential risks.
In addition to our standard plant guarantee, we guarantee that our bare-root plants will break dormancy in their first year.
If you have any concerns about the quality of your ordered plants, please notify us with a photo and short description within 10 days of purchase or arrival. Since they are living creatures and can be damaged by frost, heat, diseases and pests, we cannot be responsible for any bare-root plant planted after the initial 10-day window. We have had 98% success with bare-roots breaking dormancy and will offer store credit if your bare-root plant does not leaf out before August 1st of that purchase year with proof of adequate care. We reserve the right to decline your claim if inadequate care is determined.
We guarantee that all products listed as Certified Organic have been grown under and meet the Canadian Organic Standards. We are certified organic by PACS #16-786.
Due to the growth of our farm and nursery, we have been unable to keep up with demand by growing everything ourselves. We grow our certified organic vegetable and herb transplants as well as some select berries/small fruits. For everything else, we ensure our growers and suppliers meet our requirements and standards that we pass on to you. Although not all of the products are certified organic, we ensure the products meet the requirements of the 12-month planting rules regarding the certification and are not sprayed before entering our farm. We can provide affidavits for certified growers for their certification documentation.
Bare-roots will appear slightly dehydrated or life-less since they are dormant. Review each product’s Grow Guide for bare-root planting advice before arrival. Most bare-roots should be planted as soon as the soil can be worked to avoid extra desiccation. If planting must be delayed, review it’s Grow Guide for storage details and ensure the roots do not dry out.
Most plug plants may look poorly upon arrival due to handling during fulfillment or shipping. Please place pugs into pots or the final planting location, ensuring that they are well watered to become best established. Review the Grow Guides for more information.
Sweetpotato slips may arrive yellow and look poor. Please place slip roots in non-chlorinated, room-temperature water in a warm and bright location to rejuvenate before planting. Review the Grow Guides for more information.
We do our best to provide clean, disease-free seed for producers and home-gardeners. Please note that seed garlic may have begun to sprout before delivery due to vernalization.
Potted nursery stock does not qualify for shipping due to their weight and size requirements that make them uneconomical to ship via Canada Post. We refuse to increase our prices to hide additional shipping costs like many new online nurseries as it is unfair to the majority of customers who are not utilizing shipping. Bare-root asparagus crowns, cane-fruits, strawberry crowns, herb plugs, sweetpotato slips and seed garlic do qualify for shipping.
