‘Redwing’ Onion Transplants

Superior red colour, long storage. Uniform, large onions with deep red colour. Thick skin, very hard bulbs for long storage. Consistent internal colour. Due to its late maturity, Redwing is best grown from transplants. Adaptation: 43-65° latitude.

‘Talon’ Onion Transplants

Stunning round storage bulbs with pretty golden skin and a beautiful clean white interior. Rock-hard globes are uniformly sized good for winter storage. Suited for drier climates. Noted for its downy mildew tolerance. Intermediate resistance to pink root. Replaces Cortland.

 

Adaptation: 42-50º latitude. Linden Lane’s new go-to storage onion!

‘Walla Walla’ Onion Transplants

$4.50

The famous, mild yellow variety from Walla Walla, WA. Juicy, sweet, regional favourite. Walla Walla may be spring planted using seeds or plants in colder regions where winter survival is hit or miss. It is not as big or sweet as the wintered-over crop, but still milder and juicier than others from spring planting. Nice as a “green top” onion. Not for storage.

 

Adaptation: 35–55° latitude
