Sweet yellow cherry tomatoes cover the plant as the determinate branch droop over the sides of the basket. They produce heavy yields of 1 to 2″ fruits, often many weeks before the typical garden tomatoes we offer.
They do require special care since they are grown in hanging baskets with limited root volume and nutrients and is more sensitive to environmental elements. Please read our Vegetable Basket Care Guide before ordering if you are unfamiliar with this product.

Bay Leaf Laurel
$26.00Bay Leaf Laurel is an aromatic, evergreen shrub or tree native to the Mediterranean. Typically growing 10-30 feet tall, but commonly pruned smaller in for garden purposes. Green, thick, glossy leaves also used as a culinary herb. The female plant produced small yellow-green flowers in the spring, and when pollinated, purple-black berries. Hardy to zone 8, but is suitable for indoor growing for winter protection. Do not plant outdoors as it will not survive the winter in the Kootenays!

Ripens in June or July. Self-pollinating.

Black Jostaberry
$20.00A gooseberry and currant cross! The rich berry taste is reminiscent of gooseberry with a kiss of black currant. Deep-red, almost-black fruit is high in vitamin C and forms in large clusters, ideal for juices, jams and jellies, and fresh-eating. Cold-hardy plants are long-lived, thornless, and productive once established. Debuted in 1977. The name “jostaberry” itself is a combination of the German word for blackcurrant, “Johannisbeere” and for gooseberry, “Stachelbeere”. Disease-resistant to American gooseberry mildew, black currant leaf spot, white pine blister rust, and big bud gall mite. Ripens in July. Self-pollinating but does well with cross-pollination.
