Dark purple to almost black-skinned, glossy, oblong, large fruits that form early on sturdy plants. Grown for over 100 years, this heirloom is a heavy producer with up to 12 fruits per plant but expect eight to ten fruits per plant on average. Soil Requirements: High organic matter and well-draining. Consistent moisture necessary during fruit formation.
Attributes:
Patio/container growing
Special Considerations: Eggplants require lots of warmth during the growing season however too much heat can cause blossom abortion. Utilizing low-tunnels before flowering can help increase plant growth without blossom damage. Plastic mulches and greenhouses are also beneficial in warming the soil and extending the growing season. Fruit thinning may also be required as eggplants tend to overset on the plant leading to exposed fruit (sunscald), poor airflow (disease issues) and malformed/smaller fruits.

Tundra’s fruit is firm and does not bleed from the stem end when removed from the plant, making this variety suitable for mechanical harvest. It possesses the desired fruit shape and size to appeal to the Japanese market and rated high in the flavour testing. Bushes tend to grow outward. Cross pollination is required. Compatible with Aurora, Boreal Blizzard and Honeybee.
This University of Saskatchewan introduction produces blueberry-like fruit that ripens as early as Strawberries. Also known as Honeyberries or Blue Honeysuckle, Canadian Haskap are superior to any other Honeyberries with sweeter, wild Blueberry flavour and larger, fleshier fruit not unlike oversize Blueberries. The plant themselves are extremely cold tolerant and these are a great fruit alternative for cold climates.

Large conical short-necked light yellow and green fruit, some russeting. Flesh is light yellow, fine-textured, sweet, aromatic and juicy. Fruit can be stored well into winter! Leading fresh commercial variety. Ripens in mid-September, requires cross-pollination. A true heritage tree. Introduced in France prior to 1800.
Grafted onto an "Old Home x Farmingdale" 87 (OHxF 87) rootstock. Semi-dwarfing (60-70% of standard). Vigorous and more precocious than other OHxF series; induces flowering earlier in maturity. May have some resistance to blight. Does well when paired with Anjou.
1/2" caliper bareroot or #5 potted
Big yellow-white fruits with a mild flavour.
There are a number of heirloom "white" tomatoes, and Great White is the best we have seen. The 12+ oz. fruit is meaty with few seeds, a mild non-acid flavour, and creamy texture. The medium-tall plants are less viny and mature earlier than other "whites." Soft skins may crack; harvest before fully ripe to avoid splitting.
