While Purple Purple do take a bit longer to mature at 115-130 days, it is well worth the wait if you have a warm or long enough season. While growing, they’re best fertilized with potassium and phosphorus, but be sure to avoid nitrogen-rich fertilizers.
Sweetpotatoes are vegetatively propagated by stem cuttings. Our slips will be bare-root with approximately 3-6″ in stem length. Leaves may be damaged during handling and shipping, but slips will quickly recover if roots are placed in water with light and warmth. It is important to remove the peat plug and roots to ensure new roots develop straight when planted in final container.
