Horticultural Agronomy Specialist

Looking for farming advice? I have spent the majority of my life involved in agriculture and have a passion for growing plants. I understand the struggles of starting your own farm, the confusion of reviewing research and tests, and the difficulty to find good resources for small-scale agriculture. My goal is to guide more farmers towards profitable and sustainable systems to meet the consumption demands of our communities.

With two Prairie Horticulture Certificates and my Bachelor of Science major in Horticulture and minor in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan (2019), I specialize in production horticulture focusing on organic and soil-health based systems. I also have knowledge in animal husbandry through experience on our family’s farm which has helped to incorporate the importance of livestock into farm sustainability. While away for university (and hockey), I was able to develop and grow my own farm business showcasing the knowledge of my education along with learning the tough skills of growing food and entrepreneurship.

I work with gardeners and farmers of all levels from beginners to veterans. My consulting work tends to help larger and complex issues where my experience and knowledge can uniquely solve the situation.

This is a no-fee and no-obligation meeting to discuss your concerns and questions with you, determine if my consultation would benefit you and then provide recommendations on how to proceed.

Where do you consult?

Utilizing modern technology, I am able to consult with clients across North America. The majority of my production consult clients are within the BC Southern Interior as I understand the growing conditions best since it is where I am raised. However, I have helped growers across Western Canada with greenhouse pest issues, business advice and other problems less pertaining to climate.

What time of year do you consult?

I try my best to do the majority of consultations during the off-season (October to April). Depending on the situation, in-season maintenance and meetings may be required.
