It features dark red/black, flavourful fruit most suitable for fresh eating, processing, and juice production. Although sour is in their name, they can be surprisingly sweet when harvested at the right stage of ripeness. Romeo is also suitable as an accent or landscape shrub. Grows well as a bushy shrub instead of pruning into a single-trunked tree.
